VARIETIES AND SIZES OF VINYL BANNERS
Vinyl banners come in a variety of sizes, but most often measure about 3’ to 4’ in width to 8’ to 12’ in length, either horizontally or vertically. They are usually printed on canvas or vinyl. They can be used either indoors or outdoors due to their weather-resistant quality. Some banners may come with reinforced holes, a hanging bar, velcro and/or other glue adhesive. Their artwork can vary from simplistic to exceedingly detailed.
TYPES AND QUALITIES OF VINYL BANNERS
Light and flexible Vinyl banners with a smooth print surface. WeatherPro certifies it. These banners are designed for indoor as well as outdoor use. They are compatible with broad range of inkjet printers, piezo and thermal, dye and pigment inks. Waterfast with pigmented inks is also used. 15-mil thick, polyester scrim sandwiched between two vinyls layers and also has good tear resistance.
Open hanging indoor/outdoor banners. They can be hung by grommets on the corners, or by 'pocketing' the top and bottom by sewing or use of double sided tape. WeatherPro designs coating for high ink limit, excellent white point, and good scratch resistance without lamination. Waterfast with pigmented inks. It will not crack, fade or peel outdoors, without lamination, (min) three months. Spray overcoat or lamination is recommended for outdoor use of longer duration, or in applications susceptible to dirt or abrasion. On printers equipped with 'on board' cutters, the cutter mechanism should be disabled due to the very high tensile strength of the scrim-vinyl substrate. For the lowest cost scrim Vinyl banner one gets to pay less and still get superior strength and exceptional image quality.
